2003 NISSAN NAVARA ST-R D22 MY2003 Private Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au

You can get 2006 models for around that.

Plus they have a airbag and lower km's.

What Dave said.

I would point out though that there's a fair bit of kit added to it, and it looks like it's ready to go. At 118,000km it's really still quite young for a diesel. Might be worth negotiating on the price, to see what they say.

If you like it - and you think you'd be happy parting with the coin - then your choice is already made for you!

23 grand for an 8 year old Nav? A brand new one is only 30 grand with 3 year warranty (although no extras unless you are really good at negotiating)

Second hand cars do seem to hold value very well in Aus.

Hey mate. I just got a 06 model with 80,000kms for $24,000. Come with 2 sets of tyres (brand new bighorns on it), and in really good condition.

So i would be trying to knock that one down for sure if your keen on it, or wait for a later model with less K's and slowly put the gear on your yourself.

Pete

hmm.... yeah thats pretty much what i was thinking. i do like it but im seeing the 06 models for the same $$s aswell, its just that this thing is local and really is in good nick with a few extras. i guess if i hold on ile get an 06 with a few bits.

thanks fellas

The bonus of being 2003 is that it is non airbag and you can do a body and suspension lift on it.It has a few extra's but not a huge aray but I would try and negotiate on price.
Brand new at 30K but are Thai built not Jap and you can see the difference in quality.
I would go for it if you can get the price down a bit.

What Scotty said.

Looks to be in great condition (I remember when mine was that shiny & clean.)

Has some good extras which need to be remembered will cost you if you buy stock - DP chip, spotties and BFG A/T's.

Also you need to take into account your location - it's not as if you can go running all over Melbourne looking at Nav's if you are up around Mildura (I assume you are because that is where the vehicle is).

No off-road use - so why fir BFG A/T's?

Negotiate hard on price.

yea i got a 06 model with 54000ks on it with a steel bar, spotties, roof console, canopy, eltric brakes, cruise control, snorkel for 26000 they were asking 28000 so i was happy paying a bit extra with about 6grand worth of extras on it

Unsealed Roads around Mildura would be fairly rough and damm muddy after rain, so you would need the traction. "No off road" for a country vehicle still means it could have had a bit of hammering from corrugations, but then OP probably knows this.

Only thing I can add is to check under the tub liner.
