Ok that explains it, if it was 60% or more of the insured amount they would of wrote it off.

Yep 55k explains it. hope its all good mate. might be worth spending some coin on an independent inspection on completion before you sigh that you are happy with the repairs. Just a thought.
Getting mighty impatient! Car has been delayed a second time. Was supposed to be ready on the 10th. Was delayed because waiting parts? Then was supposed to be ready today (parts arrived today) . So now they have no idea when. They need to fit the new engine, then test everything else and possibly order new parts! Not sure what they have done for the last month. I was told the mechanic was not shutting down over Xmas.
