Gidday
Picked up a 2007 d40 recently. Love the truck but discovered a intermittent chattering around passenger side of the engine bay up to 2000rpm. It does appear to happen more when it starting from cold but its not all the time. You cannot hear it when it is idling. My truck is mint except for this annoying noise.
I have been told it could be the alternator pulley bearings or possibly the ATF fluid might not be Matic J and needs replacing. I have attached a video that shows the noise..Anyone have any ideas (please dont suggest turning the stereo up lol). Sounds like a stone caught in the bonnet. I have insulated the bonnet and the noise is still there...
