Got a ctek dual battery charger which I'm going to run with a relay to the solar input as recommended for the smart alternators.
Where's the easiest place to get an ignition switched positive to activate the relay from?

Hey Rich! Check the box right behind the battery. That's the IPDM/ER - power distribution box - it'll have what you need there.

Intelligent power distribution module ,
Flat box with four clips near firewall on passenger side , it is where outputs to lights etc are switched

Yep, and the "ER" stands for "Engine Room".

I think someone in the design team had delusions of a starship or something. They certainly liked acronyms.

Yeah think it is so it sounds more complex than it really is.
If I get a chance I'll post a pic of an ign wire , just finished installing my auto drl's and needed ign , park light power and tap into fog light wires. These are all in the IPDM

Ah cool, thanks fellas. I'll have a look at it one day, don't have a solar panel yet so just wired alternator into the solar input for now.

Any chance you have that pic Malicious?? I've done a DRL too but I'm looking to clean up the install wiring a bit.

I'll take some tomorrow and do a drawing or 2 , all of my DRL is in the IPDM box , they come on with ign and turn off with lights on, might actually do a complete wiring build post,
