Hey mate and welcome.. I had my tow bar fitted when I was at work "they come out and fit it on the spot" which was great! And I can say that no spare was removed on my d40 while he was fitting it.. Mind you if it was nissan fitted your towbar they probably took it off lol wouldn't surprise me! But yeh who knows hey..

Welcome to the forum.

They might have removed the spare to fit the towbar - it'd make things a little easier, but it shouldn't be essential to remove it to fit the bar.

I'd be getting one from a wrecker before shelling that out to the dealer. Would someone steal the spare? I suppose it's possible, but there are plenty of other things to steal that fetch better $ at the pawn shop.

Apparently it's common according to the dealer I'm guessing people flog them to fit mud or fully fledged 4x4 tyres....It's due for another service shortly I might get one of their navara loan cars and it's spare might go missing ;).....

I have been checking out eBay etc tonight might have a look on the for sale section on here aswell if there is one
