how do i improve 98 3.2 navara performance

Have a 98 4x4 trayback 3.2 d hasnt got a turbo fitted whats the best way to boost performance and whats a roughy price on mods suggested thanks in advance for suggestion.,

A exhaust system and extractors will help, a snorkel will get it breathing better aswell.

Best bang for the buck will be a turbo and intercooler.
