hi all

just bought a d21 6cylinder and it wont come up to temp, and all i can hear is the fan running flat out all the time, the fan clutch feels ok but i am only getting 300km per tank.

is there an enritchment devise that may be causing the fuel ussage , due to low temps???

Try putting in a new correct heat range thermostat,
if there is one in at all,
for the non heatup problem.

The computer will be running the electronic choke cause the engine isn't up to temp and it will be running rich.

Put a genuine thermostat in it like Jimmy said.

It looks a lot harder to get to than my previous vehicles, guess i will just keep taking stuff of till i get there.

Looks like a bypass comes off the side of it to, it is where i think it is isnt it, where the top rad hose meets the block???????????


Thanks again and hope i can help others when i get a handle on this old girl, as i do have a significant mechanical background.
