All depends on the conditions, some days no problems at all and others the road will be closed all together, 4wd dont have to carry chains in NSW and if they are needed at the time you want to go, you will be advised buy NPWS at the gates and via Radio announcements that run all through the day.

A little update, added the hight lift jack to the sports bar, will have to reinforce the bolts for sports bar its self just to be safe and ill add a backing plate as well, that should strengthen it up enough.

Looking good mate with that tin can removed i am going to replace my factory towbar with the tjm setup like Gonzo had at the muster wish i did that when i bought it.

Thanks John, was that you i was camped next too on the last night of the muster?? i removed it to give a little more clearance plus a lot of people had stated that their bar when bottomed out in the corners had bent into the tub and i didnt want to buy another tub, (this was a tray when i bought it and the boss lady wanted a tub as it "looks better" haha).
I have foubnd as you can see by the pics that the stock bar sits fairly flush without the hitch in place which i think looks quite tidy.
But a rear lift bar is required in the future for further protection.

Its actually an 08 nav (which is suppose to have a shorter tub) and when i took the old alloy tray off i found a cheap 2013 tub and fitted it, thats why the Towbar sits pretty flush, acidentally on purpose of course, worked out well.

Snorkel, custom made roof rack/basket and Runva XP1100 winch with Dyneema rope has been fitted.
Roof basket holds fishing rods on drivers side and shovel on the passenger. (as the passenger gets to shovel me out)
i decided to put the rod holder up there as i kept getting annoyed by the local Poe Poe here in Parramatta for having it on the front bar.

Up graded my Toe Rod adjuster as you can see the original ones were wear and inferior and the new ones are bulky and hopefully as strong as i think they are.

Not much else to do at the moment as iv broken the bank with all the travel and mods iv been doing.
Soon though on the list is upgraded spotties, then bash plates, sliders, rear bar and recovery points from scottybobcat if i can mange it, then a front lokka and light bar for the basket and that will pretty much do me. Will need only performance mods after that.
After (and don't tell the misses) i want to convert a trailer into a heavy duty off road camper that will carry an Awning, BBQ, Tent, Gas, Water, Sink, all my spares and at least 2 dirt bikes for me and the young bloke. Should be a challenge.

I originally went to ARB but they quotes me $150-Ish for them so them I jumped on eBay and found a set in the UK for around $80-ish I think. Good value and works well. I still haven't reinforced my bar mounts but they seem ok so far.

Decided to custom a flat bed style steel tray with removable low profile rack (similar to my roof rack`s profile) and lose the tub, ill update this as soon as i do it but am thinking of using alloy check plate for the base to save a bit of weight and as i always have the box, 2 jerry cans and the second battery in there. will move the box up front this time though.

Just adding a couple of mods since iv not updated here in awhile.
Steel tray fitted though still to be finished. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1408925134.653199.jpg

Still to add-
Gates
High Lift Jack Mounts (under tray)
Water Carrier (under tray)
Second Battery (under tray)
Fully Paint
Cut Rotate and Spin Tow Bar
Fit 2x 12V sockets to the Roll Bar
Wire rear Camp Lights
Wire Compressor
Wire in external switches for the above 3 components.

Non Tray related -
Cut Roof Basket floor out and for alloy floor.
Grind out HD Tie Rods as I have found they are fouling on the control arms.
New Shoes (Muddies)
Then I'll be Muster ready.

can i add
# move under tray box's back 10mm to clear tyres on full flex, you will need to do that especially when you get new boots

Yeah I'll need to cut and weld the boxes though as they are as far back as I can take them without making them flush with the rear. So ill track down a alloy welder and have a chat. I would like to have enough clearance to fit 33's should I decide to get a set one day.

Added new recovery points, purchased from eBay look good and seem strong.
10mm plate.

In the next few weeks I'll grab new rubber, bash plate and my auto Lokka.

Going to look at 25mm spacers for the leaf springs for a short term fix. After Muster I'll look at a more permanent fix. I know it's not ideal but budget is stretched.

Hey Nath,

Ended up going to extended shackles and fitted them today, will test drive it tomorrow but the new ones are very heavy duty, 3x thicker on the side wall but a lot longer, I didn't go the full length (they are adjustables) as I'm pretty sure the height I got will be plenty, I just forgot to measure before and after. At some point I think I'll need a longer shock as well.
