a lot of parts will be swappable, but of course it does depend on things like what engine, 2wd/4wd etc.

Hi there.
Thanks for your reply, Both are 4wd, both have 3ltr turbo diesel engines, hoping to fit the trayback and all the suspension from the 04 to the 06, possibly also the seats.
Apologies for my ignorance, definitely not mechanically minded but just lost two cars to the floods and trying to new car together and on the road.

Nissan's are usually one of the best manufacturers for cross compatibility between models.
I've been modifying & fiddling with Datsuns & Nissan's for years and quite often it's like Lego.

Things like seats or panels or wheels would likely be swappable between two D22's.
And if there was no significant updates from '04 to' 06 then I'd wager there would be hundreds of compatible parts.

But as Tweake said, if the utes are different models /driveline then there's a limit.

Just post in the D22 section as you go... and the gurus will help.
