Get set yourself into a routine. If it be exercise, preparing your lunch the night before or going for a walk during your lunch break. Routines can be hard to get into but once the are set they are easlily done and you feel bad if you break them.

Eat healthy ie no take away not only is it bad for your health its bad for your wallet.

Set weight loss goals ie loss 5kg, then another 5kg. And reward your self with some new training equipment, this helps keep you motivated. Although your goal is for the beep test set goals for that nad reward for reaching better times.

Good luck

I found when doing the beep tests it is easier to get a bit of a rythm going, try and get to the line and turn at the same time as the beep, keeping it all fluid. If you start and stop you'll find it a lot harder. Having said that different strokes for different folks, try it this way and try it the other ways already suggested and use the one the method that elps you the most.

I passed that as well. I lied on every question and got the highest mark possible on that one... That was advised by a few mates that are firies already. So yes now I have to wait but fingers crossed something happens soon.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying:

1. Eat less more often (5 smaller meals are better than 3 big ones, and you must have breakfast)

2. Cross train (not just one exercise )Walking is great, but if you have a push bike try riding (low impact)

3. Try not to eat, 1hr before you go to sleep.

4. Make small progressive changes instead of big one (your body will thank you)

Even little things like going for a walk in your lunch break instead of sitting down can really help.

Good Luck!

i just lost 20kg over 6 months. cut all my food portions way down, probably eat 1/3 of what i did. Still just 3 meals a day, i was never a snacker. and excercised 3 times a week, picked up a cross trainer and that deffinetly made a difference, particularly with set programs as it forces you to push yourself to keep up, i found with going for a run it was too easy to slacken off and drop the pace.

whats some good training and eating tips please?

Basically, it is all eat less and do more.

Try cutting out ALL products made from processed grain. That should cut out an enormous carbohydrate amount.

If cutting back is hard, you might need to swap some foods to send the "I'm fed" message to your brain.

BTW, what is the beep test?
