fuel consumption gone up

my fuel consumption has gone up since I changed my fuel filter and ran it out of fuel on restart after which it took an hour to get it going ,any suggestions please Ive lost about a hundred Kms a tank,not even getting 550kms at the moment thanks Noel

probably sucking air past the seals or hose fittings.
fit some clear fuel line and check for bubbles.

If the fuel filter is like the D40 then I had a recent issue with the o-ring on the underside of the filter which is on the stem of the water sensor.
