Hi guys and girls,
just wanting to know if anyone has fitted the OUTBACK IDEAS recovery points to the front of there D40 navi. Have got hold of some and cant see how i can attach the drivers side point. The passanger side point works fine as there are nuts welded to the inside of the chassis but the drivers side has no such thing ??? Any ones ideas and help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Big Alex

Welcome Alex,

Not sure that Outback Ideas recovery points have been mentioned but I'm sure there is a thread for the D40's about after market recovery points which might give you a few ideas.

I have Outback Idea recovery points fitted to both chassis rails. They bolted up without any issues.

Gday Big Al and welcome. The RHD D40's come with a tow hook on the passenger side from factory,The LHD also have it on the passenger side, which is our drivers side. These are the holes/threads that you use.
Have you maybe overlooked this? Or maybe things have been changed on newer models!!!!! What year and model is your D40?

yeah the D40 i have is a 2010 model and it has got the tow hook on passenger side, but the drivers side has only got holes with no nuts attached, so what i have done is get two hi tensile nuts and welded a rod between them and slotted them in further up the chassis and down into position with a piece wire
