hi guys.I am new to this forum and i am from South Africa.I have a Navara 2.5dci(d40).I have idling problems only when the engine is cold.I have taken it to Nissan here and they did a diagnostic test and found nothing wrong. The bakkie starts but the engine switches off if you do not keep your leg on the accelerator at a high idle. When you drive for about a 1/2 a kilometer then it idles perfectly.Has anyone got any idea what it can be.
regards

Welcome to the forum.

If you havn't already done so it sounds like you may have to leave it with Nissan service overnight to simulate the same conditions.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes have a look in that other thread. The only other thing I could think of is glow plugs. Either a faulty connection or the plugs themselves - depends how the problem manifests itself.

If the vehicle starts and runs for about 30 seconds and THEN stalls, it's probably the MAFS. If the vehicle reluctantly starts but won't idle nicely at all, it's probably glow plugs.

That's if it's not crappy fuel, which always makes diagnosis difficult.
