You can lift the cradle 50mm as well so the cable is pulling on the drum without hitting the rollers on a straight pull. Well thats what i'm going to do when i get around to fitting the lift kit i have here. And yeah its much shorter and really the departure angle on it is pretty much as good as you get without cutting the rear quarter panels etc anyway. Did you want pics of the mounts on the front or rear bar fatboy? Jason has pics of the front mounts and cradle in his ride thread. As for the rear bar there really is no way of lifting it without completely redesigning it.

From what I can see that looks like an issue with the cradles being quite "short" on the sides. I will have a rope style winch and don't want it to have all the weight on the hawse

relocate the holes on the mount, don't modify the cradle itself, your lifting the bar also so its not going to casue an issue. How i see lifting the bar is either redrill holes but they won't be as spreadout as they are now or weld on and extend the plate up the top so you can maintain the hole arrangement like someone did to lift their d40 bar on here.

Anyone on the Gold coast or Brisbane able to cut/weld 10mm plate to a high standard, pm me if you can.

Bullbar is lifted without any issues. Sorry for quality of photo but it shows you the results.

just extended the plate up yes, in fact it all lines up better then before. When talking to the mod plate guy he reckons there is on problem doing that beign air bag compatible or whatever. I asked im to look at it when he ticked off the body lift and he reckons it would be as good as stock, in fact theres likely to be more steel now in the mount then out of the factory. I had to get the grinder to the mount a little and to allow the bar to lift as well but you'll see that when you fit it. Bullbar took all of about 60 mins to remove and mod and refit.

Good work then! Next attempt
Is the winch cradle?

Have to stop placin things in stupid places! I've lost the pads for my sports bars. Again!

Don't know how I've lost them, i was bored and thought I might go and line up the rear bar and drill the hole and they are nowhere to be found.
