Thinking I might fill in the gap between the checker plate and the tailgate with a couple led strips and wire them up to my reverse lights.

Might be a problem of no one is there. Might give one of the boys a case to stay back and help me. I have from 8-12 to fit the blocks and then get someone to help me lift bar.

Yeah that's the name of the hoist I will be using.
I figure to hold the bar up I will attach a strap to the bar and lift the goose arms up in the air an unbolt it. Then just drills the two new holes in the brackets and two new holes in the bar itself.
