Engine and valvetrain problems in D40 Diesels

I was only trying to help people who own these vehicles to keep an eye out for this problem but it seems to be a complete waste of time and I wont be doing it again as some people seem to be more intent with talking shit . There own self importance getting in the way .

We get that from time to time, it's part of forum life.

Personally I'm still interested in finding out how widespread this issue is/was and which models were involved. A failure of this nature would be expensive, so finding a cause and determining a means of preventing the failure are reasonable steps, I think.

I'm from the Philippines and I've never heard of problems of this nature on the D40. I have seen a blown turbo though. A bit disappointed at the GT2056v. The shaft is about the size of a toothpick.
