When I connect the OBD plug the diagnostic tool I get No Connection to ecu, I have tried several types of diagnostic tools but no one will communicate with the ECU on the car, does anyone have a hints about where the problem may lie? I have tested with a Chinese variant of Nissan Consult who works at Nissan Primera, has also tested a more general type of maxidiag central Elite MD701 Hope someone can help with good hints :)

Mine is also an 03 but a zd30, the only place i can find info for this Year/model is at ecutalk.com Have A Good read of there info.
Cheers

In the Australian cars, the D22s of 2006 and earlier didn't talk a standard OBD language, and although we could get a bluetooth OBD adapter to start and connect with our paired Android device, we couldn't get it to talk to the ECU - I don't think it used the standard protocol, and my 'Torque' application did try a number of different protocols before giving up.

The original CONSULT (genuine) device will work. I am not sure if a CONSULT-II will.

Other than genuine nissan, Ecutalk is the only one known to work on ZD30's. About $100 for the cable and a bit of stuffing around to install the free software.
