driving round with front diff removed

i smashed my front diff and i just wanna know if people would advise me not to take out the diff and put the cross members back in so i can still drive it while i rebuild it. obviously i will remove the cv's and drive shaft from transfer case.

sweet as just wanted to make sure before i did. found broken teeth in the oil on the weekend and it is rough as fek lol

Unusual to have damage to the teeth. I was always lead to believe that Nissan diffs were pretty good in terms of strength.

By the looks of the tooth it's a crown wheel or pinion gear tooth I will find out more wen it's apart. I'm thing bout throwing a 4wd systems lokka in while it's apart.

some can take a flogging and others cant. minr is in the other group

It won't be a problem driving with the diff out but put some rag in the hubs to stop dirt getting in.

R180A's are known for blowing.

R200A's are stronger.
