Does my d40 have a dpf?

Hi all i have 2014 st d40 2.5 manual turbo diesel spainish built and i am unsure if it has a dpf,
No dpf light comes on when ignition is turned on
I had a look under the nav along the exhaust and the only thing i can see is a large cylinder with heat sheild straight after the turbo on a diagnole down the fire wall before it meets the rest of the exhaust system.
Could it be a CAT or DPF?

No dpf on yours being a manual mate.

As above. What you're looking at is the CAT. The DPF (if you have one, which you don't) is under the front left hand side footwell.

I just wanted to makesure i was going to select the right oil for my nav

There's nothing wrong with the fully synthetic. I've been using Penrite 5W30 myself (but then I do have a DPF so I need it).

Well my local nissan dealer ship since 1st service has been using castrol gtx professional 15w40 in my nav and now its out of warranty im deciding if i should use something better in it?

There's nothing wrong with using a better oil!
