Does bonnet protector affect cooling?

Hi guys i am thinking of buying a bonnet protector for my 2.5l
I just read in a post that it deflects alot of air from going into the bonnet scoop, has anyone found this to be the case?
Since its sold by nissan im guessing it would be safe?

Hey Tim, someone did a ribbon test and posted the results on here a few years back. From memory, the protector made little or no difference to the amount of air flow into the bonnet scoop. Try a search, though I'm not sure what the thread was called.

Ahh yes i did find it thanks brad, although i didnt get much of a conclusion from it so i might buy the protector then do the string and masking tape test before and after i install it then post up photos of the results

Ive done the test with both deflector and bullbar fitted. No issues with air getting to the intercooler at all.

that stock intercooler is so crap it hardly makes much of a difference to intake temps I wouldn't even worry about it.
