d40 acceleration problems

hi guys. i have a d40 aventura 2006 euro4 uk version manual 6spd and it not accelerates good. from idle up to 2000rpm is too slow until the turbo gets on but again its slow for a 174bhp car. i used a diagnostic but no faults came up. please i need help... sorry for my bad english im from cyprus

Does that version run a DPF? if it does it could be clogged.

Diesel particulate filter, they tend to clog up easily.

All the newer golf diesels driving around europe have them for example.

i checked that one. i put new fuel filter,engine oil,air filter i tried almost evrything....

So do you mean its always been a slug from idle to 2000rpm? or just recently its become a slug?

always... at first i thought that the car is ok until i drive my friends d40 he has the same model

Maybe your friends has a performance enhancing chip?

we found the problem!!! egr was blocked.
