Hi Any one out there that is able to help with the following
I was also wondering if you have any workshop manuals for the d21
series that you wouldn't mind sending me. Or if you know a link to
where I could get the info from have spent the last 3 days searching
and have spent a few dollars on different sites that promised the
world and have been ripped off .
I have a 1989 D21 series TD27 diesel
and I have also bought a 1988 D21 series Z24S petrol
They both have the FS5W71C gearbox manual
I bought the 1888 petrol to fix the 1989 Diesel up the gearbox has
gone. From what I have researched its just a different bell housing on
them although the starter motor is situated at the to left hand side
looking at the gearbox from the front of the car on both the petrol
and the diesel. and all measurements are the same on both gearboxes do
you know if there is a difference between them or not.
Can I just take the gearboxes out of the vehicles leaving the
bell-housings still attached to the motor.
Will the spline pull through and sit back in place when refitted or do you have to remove
all the gearbox bell housing included.
I also want to later down the track fix up the petrol D21 so if you
have any information/ manuals or good links to go to on anything to do
with D21 series navara's i would be ever so great full as I want to
learn how to do all the mechanical repair and rebuilding myself money
is tight these days and if I'm in the middle of the bush I need to
know how to fix any problem that may arise.
I look forward to any body being able to help me
