Charcol canister

Hey fellas , I have a 1991 d21 2wd nissan navara nugget withe the z20 petrol engine , and I'm thinking about removing the charcol canister as it looks ugly and just takes up space. Just wanting to know your thoughts and ideas on how to do this.

It wouldn't be hard to do, but not sure if its a smart idea.
