Bubbly paint?

Hi guys an gals just spotted some bubbly paint work after a fresh wash today which I've not noticed before!
Just wondering what it is, why its happened and if I should be taking it back to get looked at??

Its only on the edgeing where the side step sits.

Btw 2014 ST series 7 so brand new!!

It is a stone protection coating applied to the outer sills and dogleg of the tub. It is soft and thick by nature and gives a rippled finish.

yea normal stuff mate. as joe2006 said its for protection againt stone chip.

Had a similar effect on my old Holden Ute when bat poop was on there for a while! Hah?
