Boost inquiry

Hey how's it going I got a yd25 I just put a boost controller on it and the boost gauge is reading 20psi I put the boost gauge into the intake side of the intercooler and I have not done any adjustments on the boost controller yet does adding a boost without any adjustment increase boost or should it stay the same

The boost controller will be preset to anything it wants to be. Mine was set to 5psi when I first put mine in. I would suggest turning it down a tad and aim around the 15-18 mark. Mine is set to 18psi on cold days so on hot days it only hits 17psi.

Cool cheers I have wound it right down and that's what it's running does have a aftermarket chip make any difference

What boost controller you got? I have a chipit chip and also the 18psi boost. Problem with running higher boost is that the intercooler doesn't get a chance to cool the air down before it enters the intake. When you up fuel you need to up air to keep ratios right
