Blowing black smoke in engine bay

ItHi everyone. My 2015 Np300 has just started to blow black smoke from the engine bay. I cant seem to find where it is coming from. Any ideas of where i should start looking please?
Its not coming from the end of the exhaust, its coming from the engine block itself.

Id like to help so it could be a possible blown manifold gasket or if your car has an egr cracked pipe and/or gasket, if you leave the engine running try putting your hand around the exhaust manifold to find an air leak, just dont touch it lol. Its could be something else but worth a try

see if you can get it on camera.
is the smoke oily? ie spraying fuel or oil (which is highly flammable!)

how can you tell its from the engine bay?
what side of the engine bay is it?
