Hi all had my D40 for a while now and thought i might park on a log today lol! just need's longer rear shocks and should be good i recken.

arb side rails and TJM bar. Got the TJM bar because it hugged the front of the car better and didn't stick out as far as the ARB one, Had to cut (shorten) a 110mm of the side bars to bolt the bull bar.
 
last couple of months has been busy getting this car offroad ready here are a few things I've done appart from the obvious, Air tank, telescopic toolbox which raises up and down,home made UCA's using factory ball joints,and snorkel and air box mod, Dual battery and compresser and 800watt inverter aswell.

Hi all i managed to make some rear ABS guard's today for my girlfriends nav and they came up pretty good. and there's one pic with the gaurds that have been on mine and my previous D40

took nathand22's advice and got rid of the muffler today and replaced with a straight piece of pipe, you can really hear the turbo now and throttle response seems even better than before.

Nice work on the UCA's and ABS guards.
If you ever feel like making another set ill buy them.
 
No worries nathand I do plan on making some more uca's soon but they wont be adjustable they will be set up for a 50mm spring lift with a 25mm strut spacer lift aswell, the only benefit with the arms is the factory bushes and ball joint. the abs guards aren't any dramas takes about an hour to make em.
 
extended rear diff breather

Made a new rear diff breather yesterday which goes into the tub, I'm very certain that water wrecked the rear diff in my last D40, So it wont be happening this time lol.

What are the details on your Hydraulic winch.? Is it a TJM OX (milemarker rebadged) running off the std power steering pump.?
 
yes mate tjm ox (milemarker) had it since 1998 and its been in 3 patrols and 2 navs, it's an awesome winch.

looking good mate, i dont mind those rims.
The TJM bar is the go, i like how they dont stick out as far as the ARB and allow better approach angles, and they look good. If they had them in stock when i bought this ute i would of bought one for sure.
 
thanks mate' I nearly got the arb bar because the Hobart tjm dude is a bit of a shark, But the tjm does have a nice finish and hugs the front of the car a bit better also has better access to the to control leavers on my hydraulic winch, As for the wheels I really liked my AR pythons but needed a change' It was 17x8 wasp with 20+ offset or the thunder with a 20- neg offset. the thunders would of looked nice but would of stuck out 50mm plus and couldn't be bothered with flares.
 
I made and added a rollbar made out of 5mm

cheers john the next mod will be a custom ally ute lid which will be the hieght of the tool box with a 25mm fall to the back and have tie rails along each side for carrying swags or wood ect,
