Had a lock smith come out to reprogram a new key. After my central locking stopped working all of a sudden. Had a code U1000 come up on their programming tool. Now it’s not saving the key codes, as soon as they program the key. It allows the car to only start once on that key, then becomes immobilised once you turn and pull key out. (Tried 6 times) Making the ute useless. Everything BCM related is working, I’ve checked all fuses. Locking and unlocking switch in the centre console works. It’s now not recognising any keys including the old one and stays immobilised. How does central locking just stop working and now the BCM refuses to save programming?
Even the locky was confused, they directed me to a auto elecy which is gonna be pricey.
Any help is appreciated as this ute is my daily to and from work and is needed.
