Found this when I was under the ute this arvo. Any ideas what it is for?

No, but I don't think it should be left exposed like that. It's down near the vacuum pump - I wonder if it has something to do with that.

sorry man no idea either but if you have a close look over ute u will probably find a dozen of these

well its close to the oil filter so it could be for the engine warmer

they are usually placed near the filter to warm the oil up quicker
