air mass sensor

I've heard from a friend who was constantly having her patrol go into limp mode that replacing the air mass sensor has fixed the limp mode,anyone notice that once they have cleaned theirs?

Cleaned my sensor on Sunday. Couldnt be easier. Seems to have sharpened up the idle on cold start up a bit. Just used the contact cleaner from Bunnings. Greyish blue can with a red cap on it. Worked a treat as the opening in the side of the sensor plate was fairly dirty.
