got my 285 75 16 BFG A/Ts off eBAY for $275 each

Got my 265/70/17 for $295 per corner fitted and balanced off ebay.

got my 265/75/r16 generals AT 2 for $265 a tyre balanced and fitted. 10k down on them and I'd say 1-2mm wear max, quieter than the stock tyres.

I have a set of Maxxis 980 A/T. 265/70/R16 at @ $270 each. Only done about 1500k but so far I'm very pleased. Good tread depth and pattern. Although I'm not sold on the writing on the out.

As I was scrolling down i thought they were bfg's. not a bad looking tyre, will be interesting to see how they perform compared to the bfg.

are those Maxxis a Light Truck (LT) tyre?

They look pretty good too.... why not go with the 265/75/16's ??

probably because you lose alot of power going the next size up.

Yep - they are LT.

Why? I found myself asking why 265/75? There was a 3 - 4 week wait for 75's - the 70's were next day delivery. I've always had muddies in 75. Went to an AT to reduce road noise, nicer drive and not doing the same amount of high country off-roading as I used to so I really couldn't find a need for 75's.

The power difference is very noticeable.
