Hi, new to the site.

Have fallen for an STR & test drive tomorrow (Monday) - seems a good price at 33k for auto, 31k for manual.

Read some of the scary stories about clutches - any advice?
Should I get a manual or auto?

thanks.

welcome mate, didnt know the d22 came with in auto option?
as for the clutch, you have 3 years of warranty to not worry about it... :)

are you towing heavy loads often?
are you going to be doing any difficult 4wding?
do you do many kms in heavy traffic?
do you have a perm? (ok last Q was obviously to see if you should buy a D40)

Answers to these questions will give you & us more to work with when suggesting a shift type.

I'm with hutchstr, i didn't think D22s came in automagic. so if it's a D22 your getting i think your decision has been made for you.

Ok, no perm so should be ok-phew!

Not much towing, about 20-30ks a year, some beach & light off road.

Just for fun really.

Thought I had seen auto? Talking about navarra str, basically 2009 model but new.

Well then a manual str it is!!

i have to agree manual str is the goer...i think 90% of us d22 yd25 are super happy with our purchases...as for the clutch hutchstr has put it plan and simple...i take mine back to nissan for anything that is out of shape...
