hey i no alot of people ask this i want to put 285/75/16 mud tyres on my 2010 str 2.5 d22 i will have 2'' lift 2'' body just wanting to no does the car still run smooth on them whats the fuel like with them and will they fit on the stock rims or what size Tyre do you guys recommend

i have seen a few with 285/75 muddies
the big issue imo is the extra load you put on your steering components when off road
i have seen tie rod ends let go on 2 occasions now with big muddies on a d22
the other weak spot on the d22 is the idler arm
i would strongly suggest aftermarket tie rods and an idler arm brace
with a 2'' lift and 2'' body lift they do fit
you will have road noise and your economy will suffer a little bit

beware the gearing is already shit so its going to make taking off a bit harder for you and will sap a bit of power over the whole rev range.

whats another size tyer to fit on the stock rims that are better then the 285/75/16 or am i better to just by 285/75/16

285's won't fit on 16x7's, buy a cheap set of 16x8 steelies for $100 ea. I personally run 285's on 16x8's with a +25 offset, they only scrub when let down to 10 psi on full flex and steering lock which is not very often

I am in the same boat, Have 265/75KM2's at the moment with a 2&2 lift, still has plenty of power and no scub at full flex what so ever.......... Next set of KM2's will be 285's or maybe 255/85's but I think they might be a bit skinny, I no the bigger tread will look great but not looking forward to the power loss

you do lose a bit of power, but its not too bad. also lose economy. chip helps.
0 offset or more will scrub on flex when turning. +20 you might get away without scrubbing... maybe.
