235/85/16

gettin a set of bf goodrich m/t's and was wondering if 235/85/16 would fit or are 265/75/16 a better option?

already done 75 000km on the a/t in 265/75/16.

i reckon go with the 265's mate, 235s are way too narrow for a D40.

I run 235/85/16 on my D22, they look a little skinny but I found them great, I would have no hesitation to get them again.

I'm looking at putting 31x10.5 on my d22 should look good just need to find the offset of 15" rim anyone know? And I'd personally go the 265 just for the footprint u will get from them

I have fitted the Km2 Bfg 255/85R16, D22, 33.4inch, love the extra clearance, I was running 31x10.5x15, they suck ass, over all an extra inch clearance.
Yes they are not as wide as say the 265/75, but I have never had any issues, trip to fraser Island without any problems, Many mud trips and local 5 Rocks (beach) never see the need for extra width,

Now i would rather 265/75/16 for looks, but in regards to functionality, read on my friends...

gonna go the 265's not sure weather to stick with bf goodrich or jump ship to mickey thompson mtz. price wont come into it just performance and mileage of tyre.

I was going to get KM2s, but the tyre shop pulled the quote when i went to order them. Now im running the MTZ and im pretty stoked with them. They are pretty quiet and go well offroad. They are a soft rubber though and im not expecting to get 80,000kms from them. If i get 50-60 ill be happy.

ive got 70 000km + out of the last 3 sets of bf goodrich a/ts. want to put a set of muddies on this time so the km2's were the natural choice.

what mileage could i expect from the km 2's?

how do the 235 go off road. i do a fair bit of hunting so a skinnier tyre reduces the risk of picking up punctures. they'd have to be better on fuel too.

I find them awesome off road, they are fairly aggressive though so quite loud on the road.

The reason I went for the 235 over the 265 was the 235 fit on stock 16X6 D22 DX rims and the price. I got a set of 4 Insa Turbo 235/85/16 for $700 and it cost me about $50 to get them fitted and balanced to the spare set of rims I had. They are a Re-mold tyer and the rubber compound is a bit soft so I have not got a huge amount of Kms out of them but I would not hesitate to get them again If I could.

This pic probably shows the tread the best, you can see the big gaps between the tread blocks, I have found them awesome in most off road conditions (yet to test in sand)
