hi does anybody know the torque specs for tightening the exhaust manifold bolts to engine head on a 2011 Nissan Navara D40 Thai build??

My manual (for the 2005 Euro model, which is close enough to my 2009 Aus model) says 23 ft.lb of torque (3.2 kg.m).

It's not something I'd expect them to change a lot between models.

The order of tightening is important. Look at the manifold from the left-hand side of the vehicle, and number the bolts from 1 on the left to 4 on the right for the top, then 5 on the left through to 8 on the right for the bottom row of bolts. The sequence is: 2, 7, 3, 6, 1, 8, 4, 5.

Turbocharger bolts on with 36 ft.lb (4.9kg.m).

I guess if they're overtight they'll start pulling the studs out of the side of the head when the manifold heats up and expands.

Wouldn't Nissan put loctite or something on the threads? I know mine haven't let go, and we just passed 80,000km today.
