Got a d40 navara.
When i crank it over it doesn’t start just stalls, unless i have foot on accelerator, have it sit at 1k revs for a minute and then I can take off.
When I come to a stop, at a red light or parking, it stalls. It starts up fine after but will stall again if not holding accelerator done abit.
Took it to mechanic who checked timing chain
Did some test on it said it was fine (they didn’t charge me)
- changed SCV
- done ECU reset a few times, it’s giving me p1662 code which means if im correct the injectors need to be recoded.
- changed fuel filter
- did full service on it not long ago.
- checked MAF sensor and cleaned it
- blocked the EGR but it’s running worse since
- a few other things I can’t recall
I’ve noticed when I prime it a few mins later it doesn’t start hard, does this mean air is getting into fuel lines?
What are my options
It’s drive able but can get annoying.
