Regretfully my time with my Nissan Navara has come to an end. I was looking for close to $10K but I'll take $8,500 from a forum member.

My faithful Veronica has towed a caravan for half her life, first a 1.8T van then a 2.5T van. She is ready to tow up to 3T legally, with the required breakaway monitor installed on top of the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller. Clearview extendable towing mirrors are fitted but originals are supplied in a box.

Serviced regularly (the last time, about 1,000km ago), and after 393,000km this car still purrs. A 150A alternator provides more than enough power for the car and the caravan behind (even if you're charging the caravan's battery and running its 3-way fridge on 12V).

Inside, original carpet and seats (have had seat covers on for most of her life) with rubber floor mats to keep things tidy. Pumpkin Android head unit with GPS (bluetooth for phone). Turbo timer fitted (easy to remove). Darkest legal window tint on side windows. Some of the gold paint has come off the plastic on the steering wheel and the door armrests where the switches for the window are. All original tools and jack are still behind the seat.

Underneath, front disc brakes are new with nearly new pads. Rears are in good order. All unis, wheel bearings, tie rods etc in great condition. Suspension has been changed to Old Man Emu Dakar springs (HD up front, 300kg dual rate on rear) with OME Nitrocharger Sports shocks all around, providing around 40mm of front lift and a little over that on the rear. Side steps have been replaced by rock sliders. Spare tyre is now an alloy rim, the steel rim can be supplied (giving you a second spare) or I'll just send it to the tip.

Outside: a brand new steel bullbar installed recently as a result of a kangaroo with a death wish. A 120W LED light bar is mounted below the top bar. A snugtop canopy covers the liner-fitted tub with most new gaslift struts. Pro-Rack Whisper roof bars support an aluminium roof basket.

Under the bonnet: an excellent condition 2.5 litre turbo diesel with no chips, diesel gas or anything ever fitted. The only modification of note is the switch to a Tillix valve in place of the somewhat unreliable Boost Control Solenoid. A new BCS plus enough silicone vacuum hose is supplied in the car in case you want to take it back to original. The aging battery won't be a problem, I've bought a brand new replacement and this will be fitted prior to purchase.

Included: several spares, including air filter, positive battery terminal connector, new front wheel bearing, new front disc pads, new air conditioning fan resistor pack, Chinese turbocharger that saw about 300km before replacing it (needlessly) with a genuine Garrett, new TCM + valvebody for gearbox. Also included is a spare side window for the canopy that I made out of 3mm smoky acrylic sheet with all fittings attached (just in case!).

Plus: stuff I'll never use, may as well go with the girl: a new wading bra and some recovery gear in its own carry bag including a snatch block, hitch receiver, tree trunk protector, winch strap, hand winch, bow shackles and a winch cable dampener.
