2008 stx limp mode

Hey guys,

I have an 08 diesel manual, on first start up after a few hours
My ute starts in limp mode, turn it off and restarts fine.
Has just started also doing when it's cold at the lights sometimes,
I go to take off and it's gone into limp mode.

Anybody know what may be the issue?
Replaced the MAF sensor and new genuine
Fuel filter and still does it. Maybe the SCV?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

It can be soo many things...we will need more info...does the cel light come on on the dash?
Can you get a engine code reader and see what the trouble code is?

No check engine light, I'll buy a scan tool and get back to you,

Grab its error codes..not that they are always totally helpfull or 100% right but their a nessesary starting point

Sounds like a typical symptom of a dirty SCV. First thing you could try is running a full can of Liqui Moly Injector Cleaner through and see what it does. The more concentrated the faster the results. I put my first can through with less than half a tank of fuel, saw results in under 100km of driving.

And no guy I know likes limp mode. Shame they couldn't find a better name for it.

Thanks, I'll run a can through an empty tank. Hope it's the SCV!
