2003 D22 Knuckle spindle

Hi all. I am in desperate need of tech information. Long story short while putting in new front wheel bearings on my beloved 2003 D22 ZD30 4WD I cross threaded the bearing reatiner nut on the spindle and hence I now need to find the diameter thread pitch and a die to suit! Help! Tech information needed!!!!

the first three threads are stripped on the spindle itself. I have been able to resurect them sort of, but they are still not perfect and the retainer does not wind on properly. So I'm trying to source the diameter and the gauge of the spindle. I'm guessing M40x1.0 metric and chasing a split die nut to form up the damaged trhead.
