hmm aldi with cable or ebay with rope :/ hmm
least with the aldi one i can get it on wednesday and get it fitted to bullbar when the new one goes on next monday. But damn that hand controller is ugly lol

Mine's wire. Aldi doesn't do winches with rope. I've had no dramas with steel yet.

The winches Aldi have on sale this week are the same as before - 4300Kg (9500lb), but now they include a cut-off switch. I had to separately purchase a 500A switch in to stop the little arseholes from winding out my hook, attaching it to my tow hitch then inserting a paper clip into the control box to introduce my tail lights to my headlights.

Do you have just one of those manual key type switches.

Yeah I might just isolate the little earth cable to an in cab switch, maybe when I do my in/out switch. I haven't figured out how yet.
