08 D40 Stereo Replacement

Hi All,

Im looking to replace the factory stereo in my Navara. Its currently double din and Im thinking about replacing with a single din, and pocket underneath.

Has anyone done this and has some pics to share?

Id like it to look neat and tidy, not a slap bang job if you know what I mean.

I did this to my 03 Patrol so Im thinking it would probably be very similar.

Personally, i'd put the pocket on top, so the head unit is that bit further away from the heat of the dash when in the sun.

I don't have a D40 and in fact went from single to double din in my D22... But this might help you

Yeah I have mate check out "tackling the stereo area" in the "d40 electrical" forum for my 2007 stx d40.
Sorry no pics tho but it may help with the install.
