My CC is active but I can’t set/resume it. I have no other issues that might relate to clock spring. Everything is fine including horn.
Last time I used it was travelling back from Fraser Is. on the Bruce Hwy about 7 weeks ago. I’m wondering if any sand or debris under the car might be...
Mate if the price is right go for it. It’s easy enough to get someone to run a check on the timing chain. Every vehicle forum is full of doom n gloom and car issues. Some timing chains go at 40k others get 300k plus and still no issues. Maybe add and extra $2500 into your budget (if feasible)...
All depends. Can you afford 50k plus on a new car? If not, 9k is worth it IMO. You also need to take into account how your car is set up with accessories, mods, aftermarket gear etc… as they will be extra costs on any future car.
Mate I go off road heaps. I travel pretty light.. fridge, seat, table, chairs, food boxes and a few other things like firewood, cooking stuff etc.. I’ve had no issues. My bags and a few other things are in rear seats. I take it easy. Never measured it but I’d have to say no more than 150kg at an...
2” Fulcrum lift gave me 63mm. I’ve done cape x 2 and Simpson x 2, all QLD sand islands many times, yeah I got bogged but no a clearance issue, and a million tracks in between. Slow n steady u can go most places. Never has a clearance problem.
I’ve installed an engine guard sensor to the head at the rear of the motor. My car runs around 83-85 on hot 30 degree plus days. On cooler days, say early to mid 20’s it sits around 77 degrees. Hottest I’ve got was 89 in 4L on prolonged deep sand at Fraser Is. Ive set my alarm at 100. Car is a...
After rubbish shipping by Aramex Couriers my EVC throttle controller finally arrived. 10 minutes and it’s all installed.
I’ve had it set to Ultimate 6 but I find the smart Auto setting pretty good as well. I’ll give it week or so and hopefully settle on a setting.
Not sure why I took so long...
I’m yet to re-check the fluid level. I’ve got a few days off coming up and I’ll have a look. It drives nice and smooth through the gear changes so I’m hoping all is ok.
As title states I did a bit of overdue maintenance today. All went well except the manual 2014 D40 gearbox states 4.3 litre capacity.
In realty it only took about 3.7 litres till started spilling out of the filler hole. Have I stuffed up somehow?
None of that’s a problem for me. For others maybe. I’ve travelled some of the roughest terrain Australia has to offer and never had a problem. Swag, chair, table and fridge. I’d be lucky to have 150kg in the tray. Anything of weight in front of or over axle.
My boat is a 4.2m tinnie that I can...
