    D40 Speakers

My 2007 had 6x9 in front doors and 6.5 in rear doors. Tweeter was in front dash but don't think there was a crossover as such. Has now though.

    Bilstein 5100

Have OME HD springs on 2nd groove with no issues at all. No noise anywhere and very comfortable ride. Any higher and there was too much preload and bounce but 2nd groove has been great for over 20k.

Snugtop v ARB v EGR Canopy

I went with ARB 6 years ago purely on weight. Was the lightest of the ones I looked at. Hasn't let me down yet.

    Plazmaman D40 hotpipe

Pipe was oil stained if you know what I mean but dry so I reckon the provent cleaned it up. Thanks for the tip on plazmaman through the forum too. Great upgrade. Cheers.

    Plazmaman D40 hotpipe

After reading another post on the forum I went and picked up one of these from Plazmaman. Had one on the shelf. Got it home and 15 mins later job done. Awesome change in vehicle (2007 spanish) driveabilty improved and the sound is just addictive. I know intercooler upgrade comes with this mod...

    Removing chrome mirror covers

No probs. Any Plastidip overspray will just rub off easy enough as well.

    Removing chrome mirror covers

Have a look on YouTube as there is a video on removing glass. Once glass is out the cover clips out. Mirrors are bloody expensive at the dealers but much cheaper on eBay. I say this as they are dead easy to crack. (I broke both) If using plasti dip I would suggest masking on vehicle as any...

    That stupid interior trim....

Cut the sides and used flap to fold into bottom then cut 2 pieces to go on sides. Pattern seemed to match well so joins very hard to see. Quick blow with heat gun to get edges smooth and job done. All switches the same so after first I had a template to follow. Easy as.

    That stupid interior trim....

Have done the 3M carbon wrap on wheel & doors. Looks great & hasn't worn at all in the 18 months it has been on. Noticed Autobarn have the stuff for sale in convenient rolls now. Check my garage for pics.

    Macquarie bashplates

Have Macquarie plates on my 07 STX. Easy fit as tough as nails. Had a couple of different brands before but they either failed (bent badly) or rusted badly. Definately recommend the Macquarie plates.

Chatter or knock noise on load

Sounds like the noise I had with a faulty injector. Recommend Rickstars solution. Injectors very exxy wouldn't replace unless necessary.

    Another D40 timing chain

The noise was like fanbelt squeak with a touch of rattle thrown in. I was convinced it was just the belts & nissan had said the same. Was only after injector was repaired & motor way quieter that it really was obvious. Totally agree Krafty. Many many YD2.5s & just a few unlucky examples. Friday...

    Performance Air Filters

Have a look at a dry K&N. You could drive a bus through it.

    pioneer headunit problem

Suggest checking your earth mate. Had it similar happen once or twice & turns out metal behind dash is very unreliable earth. Ran earth to transmission tunnel & issue gone.

    Battery & Storage box build

Top job mate what size cable did you use to the redarc?

    Another D40 timing chain

Noisy and crap running under load. Smoky as too. Been like it for a while but you drive around these things. Easy when pointed out I guess. Still naily when cold but smokeless and heaps more grunt.

    Another D40 timing chain

I agree Eug definately unlucky however since an injector fix & timing chain the Nav has never run better. Fuel ecnomy improved & driveablity improved. Makes me wonder how long it had been crook.

    Another D40 timing chain

Looking at the invoice for parts replaced there is a lot more involved than just a chain, sprockets & tensioner. Real glad warranty covered it.
