I’m putting a new stereo in over the weekend, so I thought I’d have a crack at removing the centre dash. I undid the 2 screws and put my fingers in the ashtray holes and pulled and it popped straight out. Hopefully the rest of the install goes as easy.

Wow Baldy hope mine don’t go like that. My leafs have dropped a tad and it all sits a lot better now, still got to do the wheel alignment. Overall I’m happy with the suspension

Thanks mate I haven’t had a look behind the guard yet, I got a cheapo on fleabay but it’s got lost during postage. Once it hopefully turns up I’ll get onto this and see what I find.

I fully understand what you’re saying and I’m looking at a similar situation myself. I’ve purchased a single battery snorkel and when it arrives I’m going to look at a few different things to make it fit. My options are removing the 2nd battery and putting it in the Ute, turn the 2nd battery...

I think the 4wd supacentre sent me the wrong leaf springs as the rear is sitting 100mm higher than the front. How can I tell which ones I have.

Finally got the torsion bars out, the passenger side came out te easiest so to speak, as I was able to hammer the rear bracket and then used vice grips to hammer out of the socket. The drivers one was a Pia the bracket was still up there no couldn’t hit it. Wouldn’t budge with vice grips, so...

I’ve finished the suspension today, I’ve got 750mm in the fronts bottom of rim to bottom of arch, looks awesome with 70mm droop. The rears still sit up a bit higher but they’ll eventually drop a tad and will look fairly even. Drives so much better. :rambo:

Thanks mate, thought about cutting them, then thought against it, I’ve got plenty of time it’s not my daily driver, I soaked them again tonight so we’ll see how we go tomorrow

I’m doing the torsion bars at the moment and yes they certainly don’t pop out like on all the videos. It also would have been nice if the videos told you about the circlips. :pissedoff: I had a mechanic mate come around and have a quick look and he said plenty of fluid on them and grab then...

I just went outside and measured from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the flare it’s 830mm, was 730mm before I started. So I reckon the standard suspension had dropped 50mm and this kit is 50mm lift so spot on :saberfighting:

I got a start on my suspension today, got the rear ones in the front shockies, having a bit of trouble getting the torsion bars to move, I’ve followed a video. Here a pic of the rear end Had enough today, bit sore, so I’ll leave it till next weekend and then do the torsion bars. Very happy...

I jacked the car up, took the wheels off and put it on jack stands in preparation for tomorrow. I had a quick look at the gap between the nut and the fuel tank and there’s plenty of room
