    Yeah. Don't trust the on board computer it's never right. LOL. Best idea is to do it from tank to tank filling to the top of the neck each time then reading the km's and work it out from there.

    Nah the great thing about Plasti-dip is you spray it on without any prepping except making sure the surface to be coated is clean and then later down the track if you get sick of the colour you can just peel it off leaving the original colour/surface.

    Sorry I was just going off the latest models of which all are diesel here in NZ. Also it appears in the link above that the Aussie Thai built get different ratios to the Spain built yet here in NZ ours (Thai or Spain) are all the same it's just different between auto and manual as I stated.

    All the diff ratios are the same with it's 2wd or 4wd but the manauls run 3.692 where the autos run 3.538 then the 550's run 3.133. Not sure about mating to the tail shaft but considering they only sell one UJ for the rear I'd say they would be the same. And as said above if it's not matched...

    Are you sure it's coming from underneath? Next time you here it pop the bonnet and check that the fan isn't touching something it shouldn't or that one of the belt pulley's isn't wobbling around excessively.

    If you plan on using around town quite a bit the best advise I could give would be to either gut the DPF or put in a delete pipe now you have sorted the problem and then you can drive however you like without having to worry about it happening again.

    Yeah I come across both ends of the spectrum in my line of work. From sites you can't even fart on with written permission to sites your can walk around naked with your eyes shut. Luckily most of my customers/sites use a common sense approach and only a few are really strict and high strung.

    A standard regen should use approx 1L/100 km's but if your DPF is badly blocked or in your case something in the system is wrong then consumption could be extremely higher.
