Saw in town today a 92 Navara dual cab, blue in colour, sporting a white tub, with a 3.0 TDi Turbo sticker on the back. Now, obviously not an original tub. Are the D22 and D21 tubs generally interchangeable, or is some modification needed to get them to fit?

I've just ordered a Navara td27 water pump to put on my Terrano td27t engine, so will be able to compare the two soon, However, no gaurantee that the Terrano water pump is original.

Checked the manual, and after 1980, they say the mixture screw is not user changeable. You need special gear, I'm assuming an air/fuel gauge. You can do what I said above, but be aware that if you set it too lean, you can risk running the engine hotter than it should be. Maybe screw it back...

No opinion to offer on shockies sorry, not something I've spent a lot of time considering as most of my driving is still on road. When I need new schockies, I run it into the shop and ask them what they've got. Couldn't even tell you what's on there now, except they're yellow.
