It's probably the only thing I should have done,probably will this weekend...but you could leave it as long as it's tied in along the way so cables don't move and rub and earth out.

I have 2 usb's and 2 cigarette in cabin and needed it for lighting under my awning that way I can still lock my car...oh and I have a canopy on order that would make it more difficult to run power to where I use it,where I smoke....

Spent a couple of hours this morning fitting a 4 way fuse block and dual cigarette socket. Always needed extra power under the bonnet

Check the centre bearing ,part of the tail shaft.I had a similar problem
