I have a strange noise that is hard to describe from the aircon on start up and the same noise but really faint when you shut it down . I was wondering if some one has this same problem and can shed some light on it for me ..... Thanks

I have an ST and the only problem ive had with mine is the turbo control solinoid and the valve which is being replaced by nissan today under warranty after being off the road for 3 weeks which is ok because they told me first up that the parts were on back order and i probibly wouldnt get it...

Took it to Nissan yeaterday afternoon and they are going to replace the solaniod and the variable control valve for the turbo boost . The part is going to take 2 to 3 weeks to get .

Thanks Tony , A lot of that sounds very similar to mine as well as the surging that i didnt realise is part of the same problem . Mine surged a little yesterday but i didnt take any notice . When the mechanic pulled the hose off the top of the variable control valve the noise stopped so fingers...

When i started the nissan this morning it had a tapping noise when i took my foot off the accelereter so i called in at my mechanics on the way to my shop for him to take a look at . He found that its coming from a small vaccum cannister to do with the turbo , When you take the hose of it stops...

I was only trying to help people who own these vehicles to keep an eye out for this problem but it seems to be a complete waste of time and I wont be doing it again as some people seem to be more intent with talking shit . There own self importance getting in the way .

Why wouldnt Nissan resell them ? What would they do with them ? And im not saying it happens to every D40 2.5 Diesel
