Wires into cab

I only use a single wire for that, and pass it through the firewall above the pedals.

How it works:

Light bar is connected to pin 87 of a relay and to earth.
Pin 30 of the relay is connected to an appropriate fuse then to battery.
Pin 85 of the relay is connected to the high beam circuit (actually directly to the headlight wiring).
Pin 86 of the relay is connected to a wire that runs through the firewall to a switch. The other side of the switch is connected to a bolt under the dash.

When the switch is turned on, pin 86 of the relay is earthed, so when high beam comes on, the relay contacts close sending battery power to the light bar.

WARNING
If you have a more modern vehicle that "flipflops" the headlight power you can't do it this way (because high beam wire becomes negative and that won't activate the relay). You can either run two wires directly from high beam + common to pins 85 and 86 and pin 30->fuse+battery and 87->lightbar (driving lights can't be turned off manually) or put another relay in AFTER this one connecting 87 to the new relay's pin 85 but everything else on the new relay wired as per the first example.
