Where is it made?

Hi all, just wondering if there's anyway of tell where my D22 was manufactured? Went to buy some brake pads and they (Repco) were asking whether it was made in Thailand or Spain??

No D22's were made in Spain.

Yours looks like a 3.0 litre by your profile pic which means it's Japanese made.

I think the engine number or VIN tells you. Mines a japanese built D22 (03) and has JP in the prefix, which stands for "japan" I would have thought it may also be on the compliance plate itself, but I've not looked.

Repco were asking the wrong question----- right for D40's

D22 only ever made in jap or Thailand.

Jap the vin starts JN1, Thai it's MNT
